The TTLA held their first open evening on Wednesday 19th May at 5.30pm in the New Art Exchange, Nottingham. The open evening gave tenants a chance to hear first hand from them about what they have been doing in the last year to improve the services and what they have planned for the year ahead.
This year the TTLA have a budget of £8,000 which they are spending on lots of projects. These include Tuntum in Bloom (and the competition prize money!), Tuntum's Caribbean Carnival Troupe, a Residents Sounding Board and Mystery Shopping project both of which will see residents being paid for their contributions to Tuntum.
They have also allocated £2,000 for the development and payment of mystery shoppers to test the services Tuntum provides and to identify areas where improvements could be made.
The areas that could be tested include Right to Buy, out of hours repairs service and how staff explain information such as rent statements and arrears information.
They have also set aside £1,000 for the development of the Residents Sounding Board to review policies and strategies of Tuntum via post and email. All those who are on the 'Board' will receive £5 in vouchers for each policy or strategy they review.
On the evening there was a FREE Caribbean Buffet and all reasonable travel costs were covered for all those who attended. You will also receive £10 towards childcare costs if needed.
