Homes and communities are at the heart of everything we do. We will make our homes available in a fair way to people from all groups within our communities. Information on our and how to apply for a home with us will be made available in different languages on request.
Most of our properties are let using a choice based lettings (CBL) system. This is different to a waiting list because it allows you to choose and apply for the properties that YOU think meet your needs. The property is then offered to the most suitable person or family.
Most of our properties have now moved across to local authority property CBL systems. The information on our site will help guide you through the process of how to apply for properties in different areas. There are a number of ways you can find a home.
The most usual way is to put yourself on our housing register (often called the 'waiting list'). The information on allocations tells you more about this. When you are register on the housing register, you can apply for housing through the HomeLink scheme for Nottingham or Homefinder for Derby. You still have to apply direct to Tuntum for properties in Leicester.
You can also carry out a mutual exchange, where you swap your property with someone who has another Tuntum, council or housing association home. Use the information from this page to tell you more.
Each partner in the HomeLink or Homefinder scheme will have its own slightly different allocations policy which is open and transparent. Tuntum's groups people according to their housing need into 'bands' identical to the local authority areas in operates in.
