Steve White started his housing career with the New Towns Commission in 1979, working for Telford Development Corporation advising them on listing historic buildings. He then took a Masters Degree before joining Anchor Trust where he rose to the position of Regional Manager (Midlands) and undertook published work on managing dementia within sheltered housing. He worked as a management consultant until joining Tuntum in 2003.
 
His hobbies are chess, literature, vernacular architecture and supporting Hull City and Yorkshire CCC.
