This is one of two schemes aimed at providing short-term accommodation for women and children who are fleeing domestic violence. Our services are available to women aged over 18, with or without children. When the women at Access House are ready to move into a permanent home, we help them settle in and provide support for up to 12 months afterwards.
The project consists of 7 flats. Two of the flats are share and the other five are self-contained. All flats are furnished to a high standard.
This is one of two schemes aimed at providing short-term accommodation for women and children fleeing domestic violence. The other scheme is the first of its kind in the city of Derby and is aimed exclusively at Asian women. The scheme is managed by two organisations, a local Asian women's organisation called Karma Nirvana and the national organisation Refuge.
